zc tranny and SI tranny

I've been looking on the hybrid page about the zc si hybrid tranny. I have a question? does the tranny determine the top speed of the vechile (assuming there are no speed limits on the ECU) and if so which transmission has the highest top speed and which transmission has the quickest acceleration? (assuming the same zc engine is used in a car where only the transmission gets changed to test this stuff)
